80 percent of Corona negative patients need oxygen

Several patients at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have similar symptoms like Corona, but their reports are negation. More than 80 percent of such patients need to give oxygen artificially while 4 percent are on ventilators, informed the GMCH administration. In all, 173 patients whose reports are negative but are being treated at GMCH due to Corona like symptoms. Although their reports received were negative, the condition of many patients is serious. They have to administer oxygen while the serious patients have to be administered ventilators.
Moreover, the number of positive Corona patients is also on a rise and even negative patients are being admitted at GMCH. Hence, the work load on the doctors and staff has increased a lot.
Dean, Dr Kanan Yelikar said, out of the total negative patients being treated at GMCH, 80 percent having Corona like symptoms need oxygen. The administration is fulfilling the responsibility to treat these patients.
