Agriculture Assistant caught red-handed for accepting bribe

Aurangabad, Jan 8:

The Anti Corruption Bureau arrested an agriculture assistant for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 red-handed at Bahulkheda in Soyegaon tehsil on Thursday. The arrested government officer has been identified as Pravin Madhav Savkare (36).

According to the details, Savkare demanded Rs 50,000 bribe from the complainant Bhausaheb Phundkar or submitting the report to the senior to get the benefits of the two cases in the Phalbaug Lagwad Scheme. However, Phundkar was not willing to pay him the bribe and hence lodged a complaint at ACB. After, negotiation a deal was made to give Rs 20,000 for the mentioned work. A trap was laid outside the Soyegaon tehsil office. Savkare was arrested red-handed while accepting the bribe. The action was executed by PI Vikas Ghanwat, head contable Ganesh Pandure, Prakash Ghugre, Santoshi Joshi, Milind Ippar and others. A case has been registered at the Soyegaon police station.
