Alert policemen at Nakabandi crack six years old motorcycle theft

Aurangabad, May 17:

The alert policemen at the Nakabandi on the road between

Pundliknagar to Gajanan Maharaj Road on Monday morning seized a motorcycle,

stolen from Nutan Colony, six years back.

The commissionerate of police has established 54 fixed

points for implementing the Curfew orders in the city. On Monday morning,

Pundliknagar police station API Ghansham Sonawane, PSI Prabhakar Sonawane and

other policemen were stationed at Nakabandi at Gajanan Maharaj Mandir Chowk. At

around 11 am, they stopped a motorcyclist. He told that his name is Ganesh

Pralhad Bamnavat (26, Wanjola, Kehrala, Sillod. The police asked him to produce

the papers of the motorcycle. He told that he does not possess the documents

and his uncle Govind Meher (Lalwadi) is having it. The police checked the

registration number of the bike on the e challan machine and found that the

number was registered on somebody else’s name. On suspicion, the police took

Bamnavat and the motorcycle to the police station. During further inquiry, the

police found that the motorcycle owner is Amrish Jaiswal and it was stolen in

2015. A case in this regard has been registered at the Kranti Chowk police

station. Bamnavat has been handed over to the Kranti Chowk police for further

investigation, the police said.

The police said that the motorcycle of Amrish Jagdish

Jaiswal was stolen from Nutan Colony in 2015. The Kranti Chowk police

investigated the matter but the thief was not found and hence the case was

pending since then.
