All courts to resume functioning on pilot basis from Dec 1

Aurangabad, Nov 28:

All the courts in Maharashtra (except Pune district), will be resuming their functioning, between December 1, 2020, and January 10, 2021 (excluding Christmas Vacation), on a pilot basis.

As per the guidelines issued by the High Court, the courts will function from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm daily.

The two-member bench comprising Justice S V Gangapurwala and Justice S D Kulkarni; Justice T V Nalawade and Justice M G Shewlikar; Justice S P Deshmukh and Justice R G Awchat and Justice R V Ghughe and Justice B U Debadwar will conduct the hearings in the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court.

The single bench comprising Justice V L Achaliya, Justice V K Jadhav, Justice Mangesh Patil and Justice V V Kankanwadi will also conduct the hearings.

Meanwhile, during the hearings in the District and Sessions Court and other courts, the entry will be allowed to lawyer, witness and accused related to the case. No person should enter the courtroom before his name is called. Besides, as soon as the hearing is over, the visitors are asked to leave the courtroom.

The directives underlined that it is mandatory to all the visitors at the different courts to wear a mask and maintain physical distance from others while on the campus.
