Aurangabad, May 31:

All the schools in the district will have 100 per cent pass result this year because of the cancellation of the examinations.

It may be noted that the State Government cancelled the examinations of SSC standard this year considering the Covid 19 situation in the different parts of the State.

There was a lot of confusion over the result preparations after the declaration of the decision.

The Education Department recently announced the formula to prepare the result of SSC students who are happy to listen to it.

But, talented students and their parents might upset slightly over the decision.

There will be 50 pc weightage to 9th class result and 50 pc to an internal assessment of 10th standard students. There will be 30 marks for the internal evaluation of students and 20 marks for homework, oral and practical tests.

All of them were declared passed in ninth due to pandemic situation. Even in 10th, the school teachers would do their internal assessment. All 10th standard candidates will be successful and schools have 100 pc pass result even if they have not conducted any class.

There are 73,279 students, including 33,640 girls, who had registered for the SSC examinations in the district for the academic year 2020-21.

Prahlad Shinde, president of Maharashtra English Schools Association and Principal of Ellora English School, said that many English schools had conducted regular tests of students throughout the year in one or another form.

“The schools have 9th class performance of SSC students. A student may be poor in one or another subject. But, all students will be successful on the basis of the formula given by the Education.

Talented students may not upset as their entrance test for professional courses admissions,” he said.

Nagesh Joshi, secretary of Dnyanda English School- (CBSE), said that as far as Central Board Secondary Education affiliated schools are concerned, most of them have result between 90 to 99 pc every year.

“This time, it will be 100 pc. We have held required tests of 10th standard students in the academic year as per the instruction of the CBSE. We have kept all record of students ready for cross verification. The schools already sent the result each class to the Central Board. So, there is no question of favouring anybody,” he added.

Education officer Dr B B Chavan said there would be 50 pc weightage to performance of 9th standard and remaining 50 pc to be given for internal assessment of SSC.

The education department has decided to conduct a 100 marks entrance test for the 11th class admissions. The examination will be based on the 10th standard syllabus. However, no test was decided for the admissions to polytechnic and ITI admissions.
