Allow single window permission for layout - CREDAI

Aurangabad, July 20:

After submitting a proposal for layout permission within the municipal limits, the concerned have to suffer a lot. Permission has to be obtained through seven different departments of municipal corporation. This process takes about a year. A demand was made to the municipal administrator by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) today that the layout holders should be allowed permission through a single window scheme under self-development.

The delegation along with the president of the association Ashok Bagadiya met administrator Astikkumar Pandey and presented a memorandum of demands. The delegation also discussed various issues with Pandey. The members said, from 2016, after submitting the proposal in the municipal self development, construction permission is given by one window method. Other layout holders should be given permission in the same manner. The person seeking layout permission has to travel to seven different departments. The town planning department should give permission by taking an additional 5 percent amount. While giving preliminary permission, the stamp of not for sale is affixed by the corporation. This method should be discontinued as real estate regulatory authority (RERA) law has been implemented. Clause of bank guarantee should also be stopped. This single window scheme should be implemented in town planning and the city engineer's office. The government has also suggested that the labour cess be taken in four phases. It was also demanded that if the tax is not paid on time, 1 percent interest should be charged. Tax should be levied in Aurangabad in the same manner in which Nashik municipal corporation has started levying tax. Rajendrasingh Jabinda, Narendra Jabinda, Pramod Khairnar, Sunil Patil, Vikas Chaudhary and Akil Khanna were present.
