AMC demolishes two properties on Beed Bypass Road

Aurangabad, March 18:

The anti-encroachment squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has removed two properties from Beed Bypass Road today. So far, the AMC had demolished 18 properties situated on the route and will be demolishing five more soon.

Under the guidance of AMC administrator A K Pandey and the additional commissioner R P Nikam, the drive to demolish 23 properties started last Friday. The squad razed down seven properties on the first day. After a two-days complete lockdown on Saturday and Sunday, the AMC officials removed nine big properties on Monday.

Today, the squad started the action from Mahanubhav Ashram (crossroad) and razed down two properties, including Wajed Khan Shabbir Khan's telephone building, as it was obstructing the traffic on the busy road.

The team led by the designated officer Savita Sonawane, R S Rachatwar and Vasant Bhoye, along with sectional engineer (Town Planning), building inspectors and other personnel, took action. Tight security was maintained by the AMC's police team, stated the release.
