AMC detects 177 COVID patients in city

Aurangabad, April 12:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 2,505 antigens and 2,335 RT-PCR tests (total of 4,840 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 177 Covid-19 patients today.

The health teams conducted 84 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected 34 persons as infected. The AMC personnel also held 767 RT-PCR tests at the CCCs. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams have conducted 2,398 antigen tests and detected 138 Coronavirus infected persons. They also collected swab samples of 1,354 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has conducted 68 RT-PCR tests, District Civil Hospital conducted 15 and private laboratories did 131 on Monday. The private laboratories also conducted 23 antigen tests and found five infected patients. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
