Baiju gets international Outstanding Photographer Award

Aurangabad, Nov 24: Noted city photographer Baiju Patil has won the prestigious Outstanding Photographer 2020 award in the international photography competition organized by Turn and Town and National Geographic in ten different categories like Fashion, Wedding, Sports, Fine Arts, and Wildlife. Ten world-renowned photographers judged the competition that featured 45,000 photographs from all over the world. Eminent photographers, including Baiju, who have excelled in photography over the last 20 to 25 years, have been shortlisted for the award. Fifteen of his best photographs were sent for the award.

For the past 27 years, Baiju has been photographing wildlife and birds. So far, he has been honoured with a total of 136 international and national awards. Experimenting in his photographs and risking his own life, he captures rare wildlife moments in his camera. He is the first Indian to win a World Cup Photo Contest Medal. An exhibition of his photographs was also held at the world-renowned Royal Orbit Hall, London.

“I am so happy to receive this award,” said Baiju Patil who is currently working as a brand ambassador for a reputed camera company and also teaches photography himself.
