Bamu to conduct UG/PG course exams online from May 3

Aurangabad, April 23:

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has decided to conduct the remaining papers of undergraduate courses (BA, BCOM, BSC, and engineering streams) from May 3 and post-graduation courses from May 5 through online. Earlier, the university, acting upon the orders of the state government had stayed all the examinations of UG and PG courses which were to be held from April 15 to 30.

It may be noted that the decision of conducting an online examination was taken in the meeting of the state Higher and Technical Education minister Uday Samant with all vice-chancellors of non-agriculture universities on Thursday.

BAMU's annual examination of various courses got started on March 16 and was conducted through online and offline modes. However, following the state government's strict action in connection with Covid-19, the university had postponed the examinations. Now the remaining papers of UG courses will be held from May 3 and post-graduate courses from May 5. All the colleges will have to appoint an IT coordinator, who will have to ensure that no students are left from attending the online exams.

BAMU vice-chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole said, " The exams are being conducted online on the orders of the state government. In this situation, the health and safety of students is important along with their future. Hence there is a dire need to conduct the online exam, release results within time and start next academic year soon. Meanwhile, the colleges should take care that no student should suffer an educational loss due to any technical hindrance.
