Beware! Don’t give OTP, Aadhar number to anyone after vaccine registration

Aurangabad, April 29:

The persons between the age group of 18 to 44 years will be vaccinated from May 1 in the state. The online registration for the vaccination has already started. However, the cyber fraudsters have been activated now and they dupe the people by asking them the vaccination OTP or Aadhar number. Hence, you should not give OTP or Aadhar number to anyone on the phone, appealed the city police.

Considering the increased Corona pandemic, the government has decided to vaccinate all the people above 18 years of age from May 1 onwards. The online registration for the vaccination has started. The cyber fraudsters are now calling the people and asking them about the vaccination OTP and Aadhar number. After that they withdraw the amount from their bank accounts. A similar call was received by a relative of a senior police officer in the city. However, the alert resident did not give any information about it and called the senior officer and asked him whether such information is asked officially after the online vaccine registration. The officer told that no such information has to be provided to any one and it is a new trend in the cyber crime, he told his relative.

Senior PI Madhukar Sawant said that the official sources do not call to anyone for OTP or Aadhar number once the person has registered for vaccination. Hence, no one should provide any information on phone to anyone, he said.
