Car reduces to ashes at Nagar Road

Aurangabad, May 2:

A car going to Kaigaon reduced to ashes as the car caught the fire accidently near Golwadi Railway Flyover on Saturday morning. The passengers going to perform last rites on father-in-law show alertness and parked the car along the road and got out of the car. Hence, an untoward incident averted. The son-in-law and daughter of the deceased and two other passengers were saved in the incident.

Samadhan Gawai, a resident of Osmanpura’s Dwarkanagari area lost his father-in-law Marutirao Purushotam More after a brief illness. On Saturday, Gawai, daughter Dr Deepali More and two others were going in a car (MH 20 DY 3307) to perform last rites on him to Kaigaon. But, their car suddenly caught fire. The passengers in the car when realized about the fire parked the car along the road near Golwadi flyover and got out of the car. The Cantonment police on receiving the information rushed to the spot and informed the fire brigade. The fire fighting tender extinguished the fire but the car reduced to ashes. A loss of around Rs 5 lakh has been incurred.
