CCCs, quarantine centres reduced in division

Aurangabad, Oct 25:

The Covid Care Centres (CCC) and institutional quarantine centres are being reduced in the Marathwada division while the administration is taking information about the reduced centres. As the Corona outburst is getting lesser and hence the patients with symptoms in the quarantine centres. Many centres have been closed, and even the number of containment zones has reduced. There are presently 2230 zones in the division.

There were 80,000 patients in the quarantine centres in division two and a half months back, which reduced to 6000 on October 25. Directives have also been issued that the non-symptomatic and with lesser symptoms, patients should take treated at homes. However, it was found that the persons coming in their contacts get infected. Hence, decision of institutional quarantine was taken in June. Now, the number of patients in the institutional and home quarantine is reducing. In all, 77,617 patients are presently home quarantined including 12549 in Aurangabad, 25509 in Nanded, 275 in Parbhani, 612 in Latur, 310 in Jalna, 32994 in Beed, 15 in Hingoli and 5353 in Osmanabad districts.

Deputy commissioner (Revenue), Parag Soman said, the Covid Care Centres and Institutional quarantine centres have received and now the administration is taking the district wise information about it, he said.
