City police conduct foot march on eve on Eid

Aurangabad, May 13:

The armed city police led by DCP Nikesh Khatmode Patil conducted a foot march in the old city on the eve of Eid on Thursday. DCP Deepak Girhe, ACP Nishikant Bhujbal, Kanti Chowk PI Dr G H Darade, City Chowk PI Sambhaji Pawar, Jinsi PI V M Kendre, traffic cell PI Mukund Deshmukh, jawans of the state reserve police force, riots control squads, policemen of City Chowk, Kranti Chowk and Jinsi Police station participated in the foot march. The police march from Azad Chowk and passed through Champa Chowk, Chelipura, Manzoorpura, City Chowk, Gulmandi, Barabhai Tajiya and reached Paithan Gate where the march was concluded.

Commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta said that the police bandobast has increased in the city due to Eid. Two companies of SRPF will assist the city police. Similarly, the vehicle and foot patrolling has also increased in the city. Considering the danger of spread of Corona pandemic, the residents people should not go to the Eidgah Maidan or mosques and celebrate Eid at their homes, Dr Gupta appealed to the people.
