Civic Chief directs Task Force to ensure successful implementation of Covid-19 vaccine prog.

Aurangabad, Dec 31:

The district collector and acting municipal commissioner Sunil Chavan today held a meeting with Municipal Commissioner''s Task Force Committee and reviewed the preparations made to implement the special immunisation programme (to administer Covid-19 vaccine) at the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) headquarter, in the afternoon.

The additional commissioner B B Nemane, the municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar, deputy commissioner Sumant More, zonal medical officers and ward officers (from all nine zones), deputy commissioner of police Ashok Bankar, surveillance officer of WHO Dr Syed Mujeeb were in the meeting. The representatives of various doctors and health organisations were also in the meeting.

Chavan directed the Task Force members to complete uploading online registration of all beneficiaries'' (doctors and paramedical staff) before January 8; the manpower training by January 4 and the vaccinators'' training (those giving vaccine) by January 10.

" The health officials should also upload details of unregistered clinic''s doctors and paramedical staff. They should also be administered the vaccine as people also visit their clinics for the treatment," stressed the administrator.

Dr Mujeeb made a PowerPoint presentation apprising the Covid-19 vaccination programme. He guided on how to handle the vaccine, setting up of centres to administer it etc. The medical officer Dr Archana Rane apprised about AMC''s preparations and arrangements to store the vaccine.

Dr Padalkar, in her introductory speech mentioned of having completed online registration of 11,735 health personnel (4,368 government and 7,367 private). The medical officer Dr Megha Jogdand added that correcting and uploading the remaining data will be completed soon.
