CP takes prompt action on complaint against liquor shop

Aurangabad, Feb 10:

Police commissioner Dr Nikhil Gupta, along with other officials, immediately visited a country liquor shop in Ravaraspura (Padegaon) after citizens complained that the shop was being operated from Ravraspura instead of Tisgaon. Dr Gupta verified the details of the shop and ordered the crime branch to verify the license.

A public police meet was organized at the Chawni police station on Wednesday afternoon. As the commissioner was an hour late to attend the event, he apologized to the citizens and began to know their questions and problems. Sheikh Imran, a resident of Ravraspura complained that the licence of a country liquor shop in Ravraspura is from Tisgaon. However, it was being run from Ravraspura. The commissioner assured him that he would go to the shop and check the license. After the program, CP Dr Gupta, deputy commissioner Nikesh Khatmode Patil, along with the officials reached the store. He checked the documents and asked the crime branch officials to verify the license.

Start police post at Padegaon

The residents of Padegaon said that the area near the Kasambari Dargah is home to people with criminal background. Thus to control the crime, the CP must start a police post at Padegaon immediately. They also requested to install speed breakers on Padegaon road to prevent accidents.

Must control crime in Bhimnagar-Bhavsinghpur

There is a police outpost at Bhimnagar. However, there are no police there, so the criminal activities continue day and night. A lawyer complained that the police had no control over criminals. He said a murder took place eight days ago in the same area.

Insulting treatment to people in Chawni station

Residents also complained about the insulting treatment given by Chawni police station PI Manoj Pagare to the citizens. After hearing many such complaints, the commissioner asked the residents to tell their complaint directly to him.
