Crime branch siezes marijuana of over Rs 30 K

Aurangabad, June 23:

A team of Crime Branch raided a house near the vegetable market of Osmanpura on Tuesday and seized over 3 kg of marijuana worth Rs 30,050. The shop was being run just a stone’s throw away distance from Osmanpura Police Station.

The crime branch received information that marijuana was being old from a house at a vegetable market in Osmanpura.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team comprising assistant police inspector Manoj Shinde, PSI Yogesh Dhonde, constable Syed Mujeeb Ali, Nandkumar Jain, Gajanan Mante,Duttatray Gadekar, Milind Bhandare raided the house of Murad Khan Mehboob Khan (22, Osmanpura, opposite Ashurkhana) on Tuesday.

During a search in the presence of panchas, police seized marijuana from him. A case was registered against Murad Khan with Osmanpura Police Station.

According to sources, the father of Murad Khan also used to sell marijuana. His father died some days ago, and he started selling it.
