Aurangabad, April 11:

MLC Satish Chavan demanded to postpone the health science courses like MBBS, BDS examinations to be held between April 19 and June 30 because of COVID 19 situation.

In a memorandum sent to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery, deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh stated that the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) would conduct health science courses examination in offline mode by following all COVID measures.

"However, many students were found infected by the pandemic virus. It has come to light that many of them are not ready to do COVID test, fearing examination loss. The students have gone to their native place. So, they will have to travel from one district to another for the examination. Also, three to four students share one room in a hostel and use a mess and washroom. More students may be infected from COVID,” he said.

Chavan demanded that the State Government should postpone the examination considering a threat to the students' life.
