Demand to re-conduct health exam gears up

Aurangabad, March 1:

A demand to re-conduct the health department's examination is gearing up after the Army had cancelled its exam after paper leakage on Sunday.

As reported earlier, the police had busted a racket providing answers to the dummy and other candidates appearing for the health department's test from a study centre in Khokadpura on Sunday morning. The police during the raid had confiscated the photostat copies of a question paper and seized all the state-of-the-art equipment and devices utilised in the crime from the centre. The police had found some papers mentioning the names of health personnel along with their designations. Hence the police are also checking about their involvement in the racket. Meanwhile, the health administration is also probing the matter at its level.

The district president (East) of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), Prabhakar Bakale, demanded that the health administration cancel the exam and re-conduct it. He mentioned that the transportation of paper was made in private transport, and there was no one to keep a vigil on it. The police had busted the racket and also seized the question paper from the study centre.

No question of cancelling the exam

The deputy director (health), Dr Swapnil Lale said, " The police had arrested the persons concerned before entering the examination centre. Hence there is no question of cancelling the exam. The inquiry is underway by the police. The health administration will receive the report, and all things will be cleared as soon as possible."
