Divisional commissioner purchase sweet shev from market

Setting an example of simplicity, the divisional commissioner of Aurangabad division, Sunil Kendrekar like an ordinary person went to the local market at Khuldabad with his wife and purchased various articles on Saturday morning. Usually, the highly placed officers took advantage of their positions, but Kendrekar is known for his discipline, simplicity and not taking undue advantage of his position.

Every Saturday, Kendrekar with his wife come to Khuldabad between 7.30 am and 8 am to pay obeisance to Bhadra Maruti. However, there is no bandobast or security guards with them. They take Darshan along with the ordinary people in queue. He never discloses his identity while he is in the temple. This Saturday, security guard of the temple Rajendra Jondhale identified Kendrekar and requested him to come and pay obeisance from VIP Entrance. However, Kendrekar refused and stood in the queue.

After paying obeisance to Lord Maruti, he went to the local vegetable market in the premises of the Bhadra Maruti temple and purchased vegetables like an ordinary person with bags on his shoulder. His photos while purchasing at the local market were spread rapidly on the social media. When the photos gone viral on the social media, LT scribe went to the temple market and showed the photos to the vegetable vendors who immediately identified him and told the scribe that he had purchased from their shop. One shopkeeper told that he purchased Farsan from him and specially purchased sweet shev from him. However, the shopkeeper did not knew that he was the divisional commissioner of Aurangabad region.
