Enough stock of medicines, ventilators and oxygen in district

The war against Covid-19 is not over yet. The stock of medicines, ventilators and oxygen is at present abondent. No distinction is being made between rural and urban areas for the distribution of grants for corona control, guardian minister Subhash Desai said on Friday. He was speaking in a meeting of the district planning committee.

During the meeting, the people''s representatives made various demands for strengthening the health system. Demands were made for construction of a hospital building for women and newborns, opening of a district women and children hospital, compensation for crops damaged due to heavy rains, daily water supply in Aurangabad city, repair of roads and repair of electric feeders.

Desai assured to resolve all the issues on priority. The meeting was attended by minister of employment guarantee and horticulture Sandipan Bhumre, Minister of state for rural development Abdul Sattar, MP Imtiyaz Jaleel, MLAs Haribhau Bagade, Atul Save, Prashant Bamb, Uday Singh Rajput, Ramesh Bornare, MLC Ambadas Danve, Zilla Parishad president Meena Shelke, collector Sunil Chavan and Commissioner of police Nikhil Gupta were present.

30 per cent patients from outside

Desai claimed that covid patients from neighboring districts are also coming to Aurangabad. Nearly 30 per cent of the patients are from outside the district. No one is denied medical service. Funding for corona measures will continue.

How much funds were spent

Out of Rs 288 crore sanctioned under the District Annual Plan 2019-20, a fund of Rs 286 crore was distributed. Of this, Rs 14 crore corona was given for corona control, Rs 10 crore for Jansuvidha, Rs 6.45 crore for Anganwadi construction, primary school, secondary school Rs 15 crore, roads Rs 46.58 crore and urban development Rs 10 crore were allotted, said district collector Sunil Chavan.

Tourism minister to decide

Speaking about the opening of tourist destinations and temples, Desai said, the tourism minister Aditya Thackeray will soon hold a meeting in Mumbai to announce the decision on temples and tourist destinations. They have some ideas for this city.
