Aurangabad, April 8:

The Central Government team has arrived in the city to conduct a field assessment for the Swachh Survekshan (Cleanliness Survey) 2021 on Wednesday. The team comprising eight members scrutinised the documents today, said the sources. It may be noted that the Central team had left the city after surveying for a day during the last month. The old team comprised of 12 members.

It may be noted that through field assessments the list of Garbage Free Cities is prepared and ranked accordingly. It is learnt that the team members today morning went through the papers tabled by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) claiming the efforts it had taken to make the city clean and develop a healthy environment in the urban sector. The team members will start paying surprise visits to different wards from tomorrow. The place of surprise visit will be revealed to the team members by their senior officers in the Central Government.

Meanwhile, the sources claimed that there is a possibility that the areas from where the detection of Covid-19 patients is less are likely to be selected for surprise visits. The field assessments are launched by the union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
