Goodyear partners with PotHoleRaja to make Aurangabad roads safer

Aurangabad, April 13:

Goodyear South Asia Tyres Private Limited, as part of its corporate social initiatives, has supported ‘Pothole-free City’, a road safety initiative implemented by ‘PotHoleRaja®’, part of GroundReality Trust, at Waluj industrial area to spread awareness about road safety, promote safe mobility make roads pothole-free and safer.

This project was inaugurated by Ashu Goel, manufacturing director Goodyear, deputy engineer MIDC Sudhir Sutrave and Sourabh Kumar from PotHoleRaja. As part of this project, a stretch of model road is being created with all necessary road safety features around Goodyear Chowk junction. Several activities have been undertaken as part of this initiative such as fixing potholes, installing cat-eye reflectors, speed humps, road signages, road-markings as well as painting the medians on the stretch. The initiative will increase the overall safety and benefit the employees of the companies in the Waluj industrial area. MD and chairman, Goodyear India Sandeep Mahajan said “We remain committed to promoting safe mobility by making roads safer for commuters. This initiative is a step towards creating a positive change in the communities where the company operates by not only providing safer roads for commuters but also spreading awareness to promote responsible road behaviour and to elevate road safety”.
