HC admits Suo Moto petition against use of Nylon Manja

Aurangabad, Dec 31: Aurangabad Division Bench of Bombay High Court comprising Justice Ravindra V Ghuge and Justive V V Kankanwadi on Thursday directed the police administration to conduct raid on the kite shops and register cases if nylon Manja is found there. The bench also mentioned in the order that an report of seizing quantity of Nylon Manja throughout the day and also take action against those who are flying kite with nylon manja.

The Division Bench, taking cognizance of the incident of a death of a woman as her throat wascut due to the nylon manja at Nashik, admitted a Suo Moto petition on December 30. Adv Satyajeet Bora is the Amicus Curie in this case. The next hearing will be held on January 1.
