HC directs to approve teachers transfer

Aurangabad, April 12:

The Bombay High Court bench comprising Justice S C Gupte and Justice Surendra P Tawade has issued directives to approve petitioners (teachers) transfer from non-grant to granted posts and

provide full salary from the date of transfer.

According to details, petitioners Sandhya Teli, Prashant Raichure, Umesh Nashtre, Maruti Sagar and other teachers from Aurangabad, Latur, Nanded, Osmanabad, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Nashik, Pune, Satara and Solapur districts were transferred on 100 per cent granted posts by their school education societies.

The education societies submitted a proposal with the education officer and deputy director (education) of the respective district and division for transfer approval.

The officers approved only some teachers on 20 pc granted posts as Shikshan Sevak, citing a Government circular dated June 28. 2016.

Upset over this, the teachers filed petitions in Bombay High Court and Aurangabad bench of Bombay HC through adv Vilas Panpatte to challenge the decision.

It was brought to the court's notice that the transfer of the teachers was done as per the service rules and regulation and the school management have all rights of transfer.

Hearing arguments, the court has issued directives to approve petitioners joining at the transferred place, provide 100 per cent salary since the date of joining transferred place with all dues within six weeks.
