HC maintains eligibility of bonded nurses for permanent service

Aurangabad division bench of Bombay High Court comprising Justice S P Deshmukh and Justice R G Avchat on Thursday maintained the eligibility of petitioners bonded nurses for permanent jobs as they have cleared the examinations.

The health department had denied permission to the bonded nurses to give the examinations taken to recruit in permanent service. 64 Petitioners including Shaikh Roshanbee Chand Pasha challenged the health department''s decision at the Aurangabad division bench. Then, the bench gave the interim order to allow them to take the examinations.

The department declared the results of the entire state barring Aurangabad and Latur divisions on August 27. Hence, the division bench comprising Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice Shrikant Kulkarni registered dissatisfaction and ordered to declare the results on September 4. Accordingly, the results were announced and petitioners cleared the examination. On Thursday, the bench issued the aforesaid order while disposing off the petition.
