Aurangabad, April 29:

The residents in the large number expressed their disappointment over the improper water supply schedule implemented by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) during the whole month. It is learnt that maximum areas of the city receive water on a gap of four to six days.

Of the total 115 wards in the city, the AMC could provide tap water to 70 percent of the wards, while the remaining wards get water through tankers. Besides, the areas getting water from the Pundaliknagar elevated storage reservoir complained of getting water on the gap of seven days. They got water on Friday and that too for just 45 minutes.

Many parts of the Cidco-Hudco localities like N-3, N-4, Gursahaninagar, Parijatnagar, etc. also deprive of regular water supply. According to the executive engineer K M Phalak, " The water supply schedule most of the time got disrupted due to damage of water pipelines. Many areas in the city today were supplied water with low pressure. Hence the supply of water was for less time. The water supply from Pundaliknagar ESR has not been reduced in the month."
