Increase in patients in rural areas

Aurangabad, Feb 26:

Since the number of Covid-19 patients started increasing in the district, the highest number of 29 cases were found in rural areas on Thursday. As a result, the number of active patients has increased to 118. The highest number of infected patients is in Aurangabad tehsil and 38 patients are undergoing treatment. Covid Care Centers (CCC) are being started in 9 tehsils and treatment has been arranged in 5 hospitals said district health officer Dr Sudhakar Shelke.

Three patients from Aurangabad tehsil are admitted to Bajaj Vihar, 4 patients to Kamgar Kalyan Bhavan, 2 patients at government medical college and hospital and 7 patients to the district hospital. Other patients are being treated at private hospitals said medical officer Dr Shantikumar Baradkar. The tehsil health officials have also been instructed to set up an additional CCC. Samples are being taken for RTPCR testing of patients and other suspected patients in the district. Due to the continuous increase in the number of infected patients, Khultabad and Soygaon, which were corona-free, also have infected patients, so no tehsil in the district is currently corona-free.
