IndiGo resumes flight for Mumbai from city after 7 months

Aurangabad, Oct 15:

IndiGo Airlines resumed the flight for Mumbai from the city on Thursday after seven months.

It may be noted that lockdown was being imposed from March due to spread of Novel coronavirus. Indigo company had halted the flight in March. People were waiting for Aurangabad-Mumbai service for the past many days. The airline company had planned to restart the service in September, but, it did not get slot time.

Director of Chikalthana Airport D G Salve said that the first flight from Mumbai brought 61 passengers here while 78 passengers took flight for Mumbai from here today.

The daily flight service will be available from October 25. Air India restored flight services for Mumbai from here since September 22.

With IndiGo service, the city’s air connectivity has increased. There was a flight service from here for Bengaluru before COVID. The service has not resumed yet. All eyes of passengers are towards the resumption of the flight.
