JIH hosts ‘Ladies Dignitaries Convention’

Aurangabad, Jan 30:

Ladies wing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) organised ‘Ladies Dignitaries Meet’ in the city on Saturday under its State-wide campaign ‘From Darkness to Light.’

Head of Medicine Department of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Dr Meenakshi Bhattacharya, Zilla Parishad president Meena Shelke, deputy engineering (PWD) Saba Parveen Ahmed. Dr Ayesha Hashmi, Dr Varsha Deshmukh, Vaishali Kadam, Bhikkhuni Dhammadarshana Mahatheri were the chief guests.

Ladies doctors, engineers, journalists, teachers were also present. Dr Meenakshi Bhattacharya said that the ratio of women suffering anaemia is high so they should take care of their health.

“Women should do their complete medical check-up once in a year,” she added. Dr Varsha Deshmukh and Dr Saba Parveen also spoke.

Acid attack survivor Babita Patni said that she was attacked, she had no hope in life, but, her parents supported her in that crisis. Shaeesta Quadri also guided the participants.

Dr Bhattacharya, Dr Deshmukh, Dr Harshada Shelar, Aarti Tiwari, Chhaya Thorat and others were felicitated with ‘COVID Warriors’ award.
