Aurangabad, March 27:

A lockdown has been announced in Aurangabad district from midnight on March 30 to April 8 in the wake of the growing corona crisis informed chairman of the district disaster management committee and district collector Sunil Chavan and commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta on Saturday.

Five or more persons are prohibited from assembling during the period of execution of this order. Apart from that, citizens are completely barred from stepping out except for essential items. In order to implement and take action against the offenders, a team has been appointed consisting of municipal sanitary inspectors, chief sanitation officer and ward officers of the concerned wards and all concerned officers of the municipal corporation of higher rank. Apart from this, the lockdown supervisory circle officers appointed by the collector office will be assisted by the concerned police constables and senior police officers. In order to implement this order, various teams have been set up in the municipal limits, municipal council and at the village level. Joint squads of municipal, revenue and police departments have been set up within the municipal limits. Apart from this, officials of other departments including food and drug administration, state excise department, transport department and supply department will also be included in the squad, the order said. A joint squad of gram panchayat, revenue and police will take action at the village level.

- No more than 5 people are allowed to gather in public places

- Open grounds, gardens will be closed

- Hotels, bars, lodges, markets, weekly markets

- Salon, beauty parlour

- Schools, colleges, private tuition

- Public and private passenger transport excluding essential services

- Religious places, halls, marriage halls, cinemas

- Ban on rallies and agitations

- Wine shops

- Grocery stores open from 8 am to 12 pm.

- Milk shops and distribution from 6 am to 11 am

- Meat shops from 8 am to 12 noon

- Sales of vegetables and fruits from 6 am to 11 am

- Mall from 8 am to 12 noon only for vegetables and groceries

- Only essential service employees will get fuel at the petrol pump

- LPG gas home delivery service only

- Agriculture shops 8 am to 12 noon

- Private hospitals, medicals

- E-commerce service home delivery service

- Media organization, newspaper distribution
