Man arrested with country-made pistol, 3 cartridges

Aurangabad, July 22:

The Harsul police arrested a man wandering with country-made pistol and live cartridges at Aaisaheb Chowk on Pisadevi Road on Wednesday evening after a chase. The police have seized one pistol and three live cartridges from him. The accused when produced before the court on Thursday was remanded in the police custody for two day. The arrested has been identified as Ramchandra Ramesh Jayebhaye (32, Kumbhephal, Buldhana).

The police received the information that a man is wandering with a country-made pistol and cartridges on Pisadevi road. Under the guidance of CP Dr Nikhil Gupta, DCP Deepak Girhe, ACP Nishikant Bhujbal, police team including PSI Maroti Khillare, Shivaji Shinde, Shivaji Dandge, Shravan Gunjal and others rushed to the post. On advent of the police, the accused tried to run away from the scene. However, the team nabbed him after a short chase. The police seized a country-made pistol and three live cartridges from Jayebhaye.
