Man duped of Rs 8.40 lakh by selling non-existing plot

Aurangabad, March 26:

A gang of land mafia duped a man of Rs 8.40 lakh by selling a plot that actually does not exist. The mafia prepared a registered sale deed of the plot. A case has been registered in this regard at City Chowk police station on Thursday.

The accused have been identified as Nadeem Hasan Shaikh (Jaisinghpura), agent Nadeem Ibrahim Shaikh (Roshan Gate), and Badshah alias Ayaz Khan Babukhan (Baijipura).

According to the details, complainant Dattatray Sudhakar Gayke (Marotinagar) wanted to sell his house at Baijipura in 2019 and he met accused Badshah in this regard. Gayke told him that he want to purchase a plot. Badshah told him that his friend Nadeem Hasan Shaikh has plots at Balapur Shivar and he can purchase a plot there and was introduced to agent Ibrahim Shaikh and Nadeem. They showed him the site at Balapur and Gayke chose a 1500 sq feet plot on the site. The plot cost Rs 8.40 lakh and his house at Baijipura cast him Rs 9 lakh. Hence, the accused made Gayke to register the house in the name of one customer Shirsath. Later, the plot was registered in his name. The talathi of Balapur Sajja made the Pherphar in his name. When Gayke went to the plot to claim his ownership, he came to know that the plot is registered in the name of some other person. When the complainant met the accused, they assured him that they would give some other plot to them. They showed a plot to him, but it was learned that it was a disputed plot. When he realized that he was taken for a ride, he lodged a complaint at the City Chowk police station.
