Maratha Community did not get anything from CM's meeting with PM

Aurangabad, June 8:

Vinod Patil, a petitioner of Maratha Reservation Case, said that the community members did not get anything from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday.

He said that since yesterday it was being portrayed that the meeting of CM with PM is just for Maratha reservation, but nothing like that happened.

“We were shown just a hope. We thought something good would happen. We did not get even an assurance,” he said.

Vinod Patil said that one should not think that they would sit silently just because of a meeting with PM.

“Reservation is one of the demands of the community. When we take to the street, the State Government try to show us something. Today’s meeting was one of them. It was a high hope until the meeting. After that, it turned out to be an empty hope. The Government should make honest efforts to give the community whatever is in its hands,” he asserted.
