Meeting to witness discussion on Covid-19 situation before reaching any conclusion on lockdown

Aurangabad, March 6:

To implement lockdown or not, the three heads of district administration, municipal corporation administration and police administration will have a detailed discussion on the Covid-19 situation, including figures of infected patients, availability of medical infrastructure in the city and other parts of the district, the impact of lockdown on trade and commerce of the city and people from all walks of life, etc.

It is for sure the meeting aims to bring the situation under control as early as possible with minimal impact on citizens, establishments, etc. The officers would also decide on timings if they decide to implement the lockdown (e.g., whether it should be from 6 am to 6 pm). The availability of essential commodities during lockdown is also a core issue.

The availability of medical infrastructure like availability of health facilities, quarantine centres, beds for patients etc., will also be discussed in the meeting, it is learnt.
