Aurangabad, March 21:

Under the central government's 'One Nation One Ration' scheme, 'Mera Ration App' has been developed and based on this app, ration cardholders will not have to stand in line to get food grains. However, it is learned that this multi-purpose app was not launched in Aurangabad district.

After downloading this app on mobile, cardholders will not have to stand in line and buy foodgrains. They can book ration from home via mobile. While using the application, a user can easily locate the nearby fair price shops. Users can also check details about their recent transactions and entitlement. It also provides ration card portability services through the One Nation One Ration Card system in 32 states and union territories. The cardholder will also get the details of the validity of the card and the ration records. The app is currently available in English and Hindi and will soon be available in 14 languages.

There are 1,801 fair price shops in the district and 5.51 lakh ration cardholders. The number of below poverty line accounts in the district is 78,280, in Antyodaya Anna Yojana 65,482, while the number of other accounts is 4,08,040.

What officials say
