Aurangabad, April 25:

Members of Maharashtra English Schools Association (MESA) staged online agitation on Sunday for their different demands, including fee refund of students admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

The trustees of 87 schools participated in the agitation.

MESA president Prahlad Shinde said that the chief executive officer of Zilla Parishad and education took notice of the agitation and assured the agitators to release their pending fee refund within the next few days.

Its general secretary Pravin Avhale, vice president Nagesh Joshi, Hanuman Bhondve, district president Ratnakar Phalke and Vishwasrao Dabhade led the agitation.

The agitators alleged that Rs 25 crore is pending of the district while the Government is making fun by releasing Rs 5.50 crore.

Pravin Avhale said that their boycott would continue on RTE admissions for the year 2021-22 until they get a pending fee refund. Nagesh Joshi, Shaikh Zia, Bhagwan Pawar, Sunil Magar, Sanjay Kulkarni and others also participate in virtual agitation.
