Mosaic 2021 at Department of Architecture, MIT

Aurangabad, April 8:The department of Architecture MIT, Aurangabad organised a three-day online Techno Cultural Event, MOSAIC–2021, recently. It was themed as “Beyond Architecture.”

On the first day, Ar Nilesh Misal and Ar Varsha Jadhav from Bengaluru shared their vision on ‘Design Thinking’. Urban designer and director BDP, Mumbai Ar Samir Shaikh enlightened the students on ‘Urban Design Interface between Academia and Practice’. On the second day, Ar Shaon Sengupta, director, Edifice Consultants, New Delhi elaborated on the “Journey of an Architect in the corporate world.”

Different workshops like ‘Origami’ by Sampada Belvalkar, Potpuorri, Pune and ‘Parametric Architecture’ by Ar Mohammad Taha, Aurangabad were also organised.

California, US-based Ar Avneet Kaur, art direction team member for the Oscar winning movie ‘Frozen’ took everyone on the ‘Journey to the World of Animation’ through her current work on ‘Raya and the last dragon‘. The alumni meet, students’ activities and competitions were also organised. Meritorious students of the department and the Covid warriors Vikram Ghogare and Rishabh Deora were feted on the concluding day.

Director General MIT, Munish Sharma, principal Nilesh Patil and vice-principals Dr Hanumant Dharmadhikari and Dr Ajij Sayyad congratulated the organisers. Around 150 students attended this event. HOD, Department of Architecture Kuldeep Kaur Bhatia, event organisers Pranita Pranjale, Deepali Hejib and the team of the department staff and students worked for the success.
