MSRDC starts development of seven important roads in city

Aurangabad, Oct 29:

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) today has started the works to develop seven important roads of valuing Rs 42.34 crore.

MSRDC superintending engineer B B Salunke confirmed that the work started today from Varad Ganesh Mandir. " The office had shortlisted five contractors to complete the seven roads - District Collectorate to Salim Ali Lake, Varad Ganesh Mandir to Sawarkar Chowk, Sillekhana to Laxman Chawadi, Jaffar Gate to Mondha Naka, Jaffar Gate to Weekly Bazaar Corner, Police Mess to Katkat Gate, Madani Chowk to Central Octroi Checkpost and Gopal T to Utsav Mangalkaryalaya. The development of bridges at Aushadhi Bhavan and on Naubat Darwaza to City Chowk road will also be done."

Earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation had submitted a detailed project report (DPR) of valuing Rs 462.08 crore to the state government for the development of city roads. Of which, the state government gave the responsibility of developing important routes of valuing Rs 50 crore each to MSRDC, MIDC and AMC. Accordingly, these offices will be developing seven, seven and nine roads, respectively.
