Murder accused confesses attempting to molest minor

Aurangabad, Jan 25:

Bharat Gadve, an arrested murder accused, confessed to attempting to molest a seven-year-old girl at Wadgaon three months ago.

According to details, Sominath Rathod (60, Adgaon-Palshi) was found stoned to death in Bajajnagar area on January 22. The created sensation in the area.

MIDC Waluj Police launched a search and examined Close Circuit TV (CCTV) camera footage. Bharat Gadve was caught on suspicion on the basis of CCTV footage.

The accused was being taken to the police station on a two-wheeler after nabbing when he tried to run away by jumping from the vehicle.

Police personnel, with the help of citizens, caught him. Police grilled him in a murder case. He revealed to police that he murdered the older man at a footpath in the night of January 21 over an argument.

MIDC Waluj Police succeeded in solving a murder case within four hours of the crime. He was remanded in police custody for four days.

The accused confessed to kidnapping a minor girl and trying to molest her three months ago. When the girl raised the alarm, he ran away from the spot.

He did not stop here. Bharat stole a mobile phone of girl’s relatives and sold it to two persons.

Police arrested Babasaheb Kolte (Chhatrapatinagar, Wadagaon) and Shaikh Ansar (Rahulnagar) for purchasing stolen mobile from the accused.

Babasaheb Kolte is a mobile shop owner. Assistant inspector Gautam Wavle, PSI Prashant Gambhirrao, Satish Pandit, police head constable Qayyum Pathan, Prakash Gaikwad, Sudhir Sonawne, Nawab Pathan, Deepak Matlab, Manmohan Kolimi and Vinod Pardeshi acted under the guidance of in-charge police inspector Dilip Gangurde.
