Nanded – Manmad railway electrification work to be inaugurated in March

Aurangabad, Feb 21:

The electrification work of the Nanded – Manmad railway route electrification work will be inaugurated by the railway minister Piyush Goyal in March, informed MP, Dr Bhagwat Karad in a press conference here on Sunday.

Goyal during his visit will interact with the MPs of the Marathwada region. The railway ministry is positive about the pitline at Chikalthana while the works of the over-bridge and underground road will be completed soon. The state government has given a letter regarding providing its share for these work, MP Karad informed.

Karad further said, he had hold discussions with the railway minister, Railway board chairman Sumit Sharma, business and execution director Purmendu Mishra, railway basic amenities board director Pradeep Kumar and other officers. All the works about the railway bridges will be done through the participation of the railways and Maharashtra government. The secretary of the PWD department Sachin Chivte has issued a letter. The expenses for the underground road at Shivajinagar will be Rs 38.60 crores. State government will give its share. Similarly, the sanction for the Mukundwadi Sharnapur underground bridge has also received. The map of the Karmad bridge has been sanctioned. A new gate from the backside of the railway station and a ticket window will be started. The residents of Waluj, Paithan, Beed By-pass will be benefitted with this facility, Karad said.

MLA Atul Save, BJP city president Sanjay Kenekar, Sameer Rajurkar, Bapu Ghadamode, Rajesh Mehta, Anant Borikar, Shivaji Dandge and others were present during the press meet.
