Need for a united legal fight for Maratha reservation

Aurangabad, July 4:

The need for a united legal fight for Maratha reservation was expressed on Sunday from the Maratha Kranti Morcha.

Chintan-Manthan Parishad was held at Shiv Chhatrapati College, N-3. Members including adv Rajendra Date, Pandurang Tayde, adv Suvarna Mohite, Aditya Patil, Seema Thorat and convener Vicky Raje expressed their views on what to do about reservation after the Supreme Court's verdict. The members also discussed the role of the state government and the central government in reservation, points to be presented before the Supreme Court, under which category reservation can be granted, discussion on the commission appointed by the state government, views of the youth were discussed in the conference. Raje said, convenors are blamed for violent struggle. However, reservation can be taken with a lawful fight. Thorat said that the youths of the society should start an industry or business and do whatever they can. Tayde said that everyone needs to fight together. Mohite said the number of community members in the administrative service should also be surveyed. The established community members have harmed the society.

Raise issues that have not been considered

Issues which have not been considered before the Supreme Court will be taken up, said Adv Date. He gave details about the review petitions filed in the supreme court. He also clarified that the petition filed by the central government was in connection with the amendment and was not for Maratha reservation, he explained.
