Nitin Patil elected as ADCCB chairman unopposed; Arjun Gade Patil as vice-chairman

Aurangabad, April 5:

The sitting chairman Nitin Patil succeeded in retaining his post. He has been elected unopposed as chairman of Aurangabad District Central Co-operative (ADCC) Bank after the EGS minister Sandeepan Bhumre withdrew his nomination today. Meanwhile, there was a tough fight for the election of the vice-chairman. However, Arjun Gade Patil defeated his rival Krishna Patil Dongaonkar and won the election.

Interestingly, a split in the Shiv Sena camp was observed as the minister of state (MoS) Abdul Sattar was on one side, while Bhumre and MLC Ambadas Danve was on the other side in the election.

The groupism of leaders was observed on Monday. One group comprises Abdul Sattar, Nitin Patil and Jaganath Kale, and another group comprised Bhumre, Danve and Krishna Patil Dongaonkar.

" Dongaonkar is responsible for today's politics. He is a traitor and has a habit of doing it. We are experiencing him since the election of Zilla Parishad's president. However, this time, we were alerted by Annasaheb Mane," said Abdul Sattar.

Nitin Patil elected unopposed

Bhumre had also filed the nomination as a contestant for the post of chairman. Hence it was feared that the election would be taking place. However, Nitin Patil himself was spotted saying that I am elected as unopposed. Bhumre had withdrawn his nomination.

When contacted Bhumre said, " Nitin Patil had told me to submit the nomination. This was the reason why I had filed the nomination."

Five candidates for VC's election

There were five nominations filed by Arjun Gade Patil, Krishna Patil Dongaonkar, Jaganath Kale, Appasaheb Patil and Dinesh Singh Pardeshi. The election turned out to be very interesting. Appasaheb Patil and Dinesh Pardeshi withdrew their nominations. There were three candidates in the fray. Hence Abdul Sattar extended his support to Arjun Gade Patil (who has been elected from the Sillod constituency), while Bhumre and Danve supported Dongaonkar. Later on, these two also cast their votes and went away. Arjun Gade Patil polled 13 votes, and Dongaonkar got seven votes only.

Renewal of old friendship

Public representatives Kalyan Kale and Subhash Zambad were keeping a close watch on today's election. As an ally of Maha Vikas Aghadi, they supported Sattar so as to defeat Dongaonkar. It may be noted that after the Lok Sabha elections, the trio was seen united for the first time. They congratulated and thanked each other for the support. It was said that the occasion had renewed their old friendship today.
