Aurangabad, Oct 14:

Here is good news for the young aspirants and sports persons as the state government, after hotels, restaurants etc. have decided to throw open the playgrounds to them for playing from October 19. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will give entry at the playgrounds after seven months, said the administrator, A K Pandey.

The news will be beneficial to the players of outdoor games like Cricket, Kho-Kho, Volley Ball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis etc. as the players could now practice their games. The state''s order, however, refrains from organising sports competition or tournament. Besides, the entry to children of age below ten years and senior citizens of age 65 years and above is not allowed at the playgrounds.

The players will have to take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 while on the ground, stated the order. The state''s order permits opening of playgrounds outside containment areas, directs to call a limited number of players for practice so that they could maintain social distance and make it mandatory for all players to wear masks and screened themselves through the thermal gun.

The players of indoor games, while practicing their games should keep the windows and doors of the halls open and avoid usage of AC. If the AC is used then it should be sanitised frequently.

The order also suggests to frequently sanitise the halls conducting indoor games and the halls built at the open playgrounds. The players should also sanitise sports aid regularly. The administration concern is told to provide hand sanitiser to the players visiting the grounds. Prepare a list of contact numbers of players and allow entry to players who are not having symptoms of Covid-19, stated the order.

The screening and health check-up of employees is also highly recommended. They are also instructed to wear gloves, masks or face shield while on duty.
