Only 50 percent funds of various 18 schemes in the zilla parishad (ZP) for 2019-20 were spent in the past 9 months. Out of the total funds of Rs 72.43 crores funds, only Rs 35.93 crores funds have been spent. Meanwhile, the ZP construction department has claimed that planning has been done to spend the remaining funds while not a single rupee will go back to the government.

Speaking in this regard, deputy engineer, A Z Qazi said, around 100 percents of the road repairint in group A and D and repairing of the Ayurved Clinics have been spent. Similarly, 47 percent funds of the road repairs in rural areas and 51 per cent of the district road strengthening have been spent. The tarring of the roads will start in the first week of February and will be completed in the scheduled time. The target for both these schemes is Rs 20 crores. The funds of the road repairs in group B and C will be spent 100 percent. The school repair works are under progress. The maximum funds remain unspent that is of the Anganwadi buildings. Only 26.23 percent funds have been spent under this head. All the funds of the 18 schemes will be spent 100 percent, Qazi said.
