Oxygen capacity at GMCH to increase by 32K litres

ngabad, Sept 28: The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has presently six liquid oxygen tanks for the treatment of the patients to store 23,000 litres of oxygen. Now, the capacity of storage will be increased by 32,000 litres.
At present, there are 6 tanks at GMCH, the work of one more tank of 10,000 litres capacity at medicine department began on Monday. Dean, D Kanan Yelikar, deputy dean Dr Kailas Zine, medical Superintendent Dr Suresh Harbade, Dr Amol Joshi inspected the work today. One more tank will be installed in the Nursing College area, for which, a place is being searched. The administration is planning to increase the oxygen capacity at GMCH by 32,000 litres, Dr Yelikar said.
Everyday, around 14,000 litres of oxygen is required to treat the patients being treated at Medicine department, Super Specialty Block and Surgical department.
