Aurangabad, April 24:

In a heart-rending incident, a grief-stricken elderly couple, parents of former Hindi department professor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) Dr Sanjay Navle, died at Pune soon after the sudden demise of their beloved son.

As reported earlier, Dr Sanjay Navle died at Aurangabad on April 15. He was a native of Chorakhadi (Kalamb, Osmanabad). The last rites were performed on him on the same day at Osmanabad.

Dr Navle’s parents Manikrao Tatyaba Navle (80, former education officer) and Mandakini (78) were shocked to learn about his untimely death. Their blood pressure dipped and as their health deteriorated they were admitted to a hospital at Pune. Manikrao died on Friday at 5 pm while undergoing treatment and his wife Mandakini died just two hours later. The Navle couple is survived by two sons Arvind (Professor at Shivaji College, Udgir) and Sunil (Pune), a daughter and grandchildren. A pall of gloom descended on their native village on receiving this sad news.

BAMU vice chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole in a message to the Navle family condoled the death of the elder Navles and said, the demise of the parents of Dr Navle after his death is very shocking.
