Aurangabad, Jan 30:

More people are being vaccinated than the planned capacity at some centres for the past few days in the city. Although, there is a planning of 100 doses daily, around 200 people are being vaccinated. It is because the first stage has to be completed by February 15. However, then the question arises whether each person after the vaccination is monitored for half an hour at the centre.

On the first day of the vaccination on January 16, the Co-Win App could not be downloaded. Hence, the process was conducted through offline system. Later the online system was regularized after the rectification of the technical snags. According, planning was done for 100 doses daily at each centres. Only one hospital in the city was giving around 300 doses daily. However, it is reported that more than 100 doses are administered at the other centres now. The administration has to complete the target to administer doses to the health employees by February 15.

On January 27, 135 persons were administered doses at Kranti Chowk centre and 201 at one other centre.

Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said, those who have been registered on the portal have not come for doses while non-registered employees could not be administered doses. Now, permission has been received for the on the spot allocation, she said.

District health officer, Dr Sudhakar Shelke said, the facility of add beneficiary has been received four days back due to which it is possible to add the new beneficiaries after the vaccination of the registered employees. Each employee stay for monitoring for half an hour at the centre, he said.
