Police arrest motorcycle thief

Aurangabad, April 9:

The Waluj MIDC police arrested a motorcycle thief trying to sell the stolen motorcycles to the customers bluffing them that these motorcycles were seized by the banks from the customers for not paying the loan installments. The arrested has been identified as Shekhar alias Anna Dandge (28, Renukai Pimpalgaon, Bhokardan, Jalna. The police have seized five stolen motorcycles from him, all amounting Rs 1.35 lakh.

Police said, two years back, the motorcycle (MH 20 DS 0729) of Rajesh Satyabhan Kamble of Waluj MIDC and (MH 20 CZ 3980) of Laxman Manohar were stolen from Bajajnagar area. The Waluj MIDC police registered cases against unidentified thief in this regard.

The Sillod police arrested a two-wheeler thief Shekhar alias Anna Prakash Dandge (28, Renukai Pimpalgaon, Bhokardan, Jalna) and seized the motorcycle of Manohar from him. The Waluj MIDC police took the custody of Shekhar on April 7. He confessed that he has stolen five motorcycles from Aurangabad and Jalgaon districts and sold it to customers stating that these bikes were seized by the bank due to the lapse of the installments. The police have seized these motorcycles from the customers. The action was executed under the guidance of PI Madhukar Sawant by API Gautam Wavale, ASI Quyyum Pathan, constable Prakash Gaikwad, Sudhir Sonawane, Nawab Shaikh, Dhiraj Kambli, Vinod Pardeshi, Manmohan Kolimi, Revnath Gavale, Deepak Matlabe, Vikram Wagh and others.
