Police arrests four youths buying swords illegally; seize eight swords

Aurangabad, July 6:

Jinsi police have arrested four youths, who purchased the swords illegally from Erfan Khan alias Danish Khan, late in the night. Meanwhile, the police have confiscated eight swords and one 'gupti' from their possession. The accused Danish was purchasing swords online from Arman Traders of Amritsar.

The names of youths arrested by police are Rashed Salmin Deep (22, Indiranagar), Shaikh Arbaz Shaikh Sheru (21, Indiranagar), Faizan Harun Qureshi (20, Pushpak Garden-Chikalthana), and Mohd. Fardeen Moin Bagwan (19, Indiranagar-Baijipura).

As reported earlier, the police arrested Danish on July 3 and confiscated 49 swords and other sharp-edged weapons from his possession. During the investigation in police custody, he revealed the names of youths who had purchased swords from him. The police inspector Vyankatesh Kendre, PSI Sarwar Shaikh, PSI Gokul Thakur, Ayub Pathan, Sampat Rathod, and other police personnel arrested the above four customers.

Two youths absconding

Danish has also informed the police of selling swords to Syed Mujahed Syed Habib (Kiradpura) and Abuzar Khan Zafar Khan (Jali Dargah). Hence the police searched the house of Mujahed, in front of 'Panch', and seized two swords. In fear of his arrest, Mujahed is at large. The police also confiscated two swords from the house of Abuzar and he is also reported to be missing. The police have launched a hunt for them. The police seized eight swords and one 'gupti' during the whole day, yesterday. So far, the police had seized 58 sharp-edged weapons in connection with the case.
